Pennsylvania's state-wide Uniform Construction Code known as Act 45 has became law.  It took effect on April 9, 2004.   Under this regulation, all construction projects in Pennsylvania must meet the requirements defined in this document and all municipalities are required to enforce these specifications.

An amendment to the state-wide building code, known as Act 92-2004 has been passed by the House and Senate and was signed by the Governor on July 15, 2004, thereby becoming law immediately.

The major impact of this legislation was to remove repairs and non-structural alterations from the Uniform Construction Code (Act 45).  Click on this Link to Analysis of Act 92-2004 to review the changes to the Uniform Construction Code.
 
The CK-COG is an organization of municipalities pooling resources to more efficiently administer the inspection process and enforcement compliance of these standards.
