The Central Keystone Council of Governments is accepting applications for a full-time Zoning Enforcement Officer.  Work expectations would involve providing municipal zoning information, conducting field inspections, issuing citations, referring to zoning maps, researching property legal information, and testifying at hearings relating to violations or citations.

Additional requirements would include storm water management, special flood hazard areas and nuisance abatement.  Associates degree, or equivalent, from a two-year college or technical school in land use planning, architecture, or related field preferred, or a minimum of three (3) years experience in the same.  Excellent benefit package.  Salary to be based on qualifications.

Pursuant to Act 87 of 2012 (S.B. 1263), which amended Act 46 of 2010, a ‘permit extension’ was originally provided through the time period July 2, 2016. Recognizing the deadline of July 2, 2016 has passed without further extension by the Pennsylvania Legislature, all ‘active’ permits prior to 2012 will be re-listed as ‘inactive’ and all accompanying plans, drawings or submittals could be destroyed.
